The Internet has the amazing ability to make the world a much smaller place in a wonderful way. At a recent shoot, our market editor Kate Pruitt introduced me to the work of Emily Reinhardt, who runs the shop The Object Enthusiast and a blog by the same name. Kate had brought some beautiful ceramics to feature—watch for them in the next issue of the magazine!—and I made a note to look up Emily’s work. But my note got lost in the shuffle and I had forgotten about it entirely until I stumbled across Emily’s work again on the inspiring site A Mano.
Louisa Podlich created A Mano with a vision of bringing together collections of handmade goods and connecting art lovers to artists. A new carefully curated group of 75 to 100 objects is introduced every two months to keep the collection fresh (the latest collection just dropped on September 1), and only lasts until the items sell out. I was happy for the reminder about Emily’s ceramics, as well as to discover this wealth of new-to-me makers on the site. These are just a few I’ve got my eye on after finding them at A Mano.
