Moniquilla Patterns

by Alexis on November 15, 2012

When I came across the work of fashion and textile designer Moniquilla, I was smitten with her patterns. She hand paints them for each of her collections of clothes and scarves. Her lookbooks are a treat to scroll through—this winter’s has some particularly pretty watercolors.

But most often with small or overseas designers, the enjoyment ends on my computer screen, admiring the digital images only. (I’m not sure where to find any of Moniquilla’s collection.) However, I was excited to see she just released a 2013 calendar featuring her pattern illustrations that I would love to put on my desk next year. I think from my rough translation, the calendar is available for €10 by emailing her directly. It might be worth the attempt to cross the language barrier to get to enjoy her work throughout next year.
