Lorena Siminovich at SF FLOR

by Alexis on August 30, 2012

If you aren’t familiar with the name Lorena Siminovich, you’ll still probably recognize her bright, cheerful work. Lorena is a San Francisco-based artist, author, illustrator, and entrepreneur. She’s published 20 children’s books that are already beloved favorites, has a line of prints and products for kids, and is the founder of Petit Collage. Lorena is a master of patterns and colors, and it translates across all her work with its lighthearted, graphic quality. While many of her products are geared toward the younger set, her midcentury-inspired aesthetics are easy to appreciate at any age, which may be why so many parents love them.

For Bay Area folks, tonight Lorena will be speaking at SF FLOR about her background and career, pattern design, and where she finds inspiration. The talk, which starts at 6 pm, is sure to be a great opportunity to hear about the process and behind-the-scenes from a talented designer. (And the first 30 guests will be receiving gift bags with Lorena’s San Francisco City Print on wood! Be sure to RSVP.)
