This summer has really flown by; I can’t believe the end of August is upon us! We can’t head out of the season without celebrating summer’s lush beauty one last time, and these images from photographer Andrea Gentl felt perfect for this occasion.
Andrea’s site Hungry Ghost Food & Travel is a gem among food blogs. Her styling and photography are stunning, and her images have a richness and texture that remind me of Dutch oil paintings, except her artful compositions include recipes! These floral scatterings are part of “August Edibles,” one of Andrea’s series of inspirational Instagram images. They may be quick phone images, but they are just as skillfully composed and visually complex as her professional work.
