Keke & Poppy

One of my favorite parts of Anthology issues are the interiors, so I’m constantly on the lookout for inspiring spaces. I often find myself imaging how I would live in a room—what it would be like to spend a relaxing weekend in a particular backyard, or to eat breakfast each morning in a pretty space like the one above. I stumbled across it on the blog You Found Keke this weekend and was instantly smitten with this kitchen.

You Found Keke is the side project of Kirra Jamison, an artist in Melbourne. (Her work is beautiful and worth a look!) Kirra has been recording her experiences preparing and sharing meals with friends and loved ones. This particular space was photographed at her friend Poppy’s home. It looks like a perfect place for a weekend getaway, so getting to live there every day would have to be even better. The bright, white walls are contrasted by bold details, like the red pendant and oversized branches. The space is anything but cluttered, but every wall and shelf is full of items you’d want to know the story behind. It strikes such a great balance and is making me think about de-cluttering, and appreciating the white walls in my rental a bit more!
