Tape Lover’s Paradise

by Kate on February 21, 2012

Tape lovers rejoice! These images (taken by the amazing Ebony of Hello Sandwich) from the MT Expo in Japan show an environment brimming with bold, colorful, joyous stripes at every turn. If you haven’t yet discovered MT masking tape, you are in for a treat. We bring rolls of it to almost every photo shoot; the lovely paper tapes often add the perfect touch of color or shape to a styled vignette. As a lifelong lover of tape products, I would eagerly journey to Tokyo for a chance to wander through this pattern-filled paradise, browsing the aisles of tape and getting a glimpse at the newest designs yet to be released.

The dates aren’t set yet, but there’s a good chance there will be another expo this year—you can find news of upcoming events on the MT site. In the meantime, I highly recommend picking up a few rolls and experimenting. Or, if tape is not your thing, consider getting some paint and striping out a room—I find MT’s color palettes just as inspiring and useful as their products, and they are perfect for getting a jumpstart on spring and summer. Now if I could only get my hands on those giant rolls of uncut tape…
