Flower Constructions

by kate on January 18, 2012

It seems like the boundaries of papercut artwork are expanding everyday, and over the past few years, I’ve really developed an obsession for the medium. We are so thrilled for the sixth issue to come out soon, which features some paper works by artist Chloé Fleury.

We won’t spill any more beans on that, but in celebration of the issue’s impending release, I wanted to share the work of another incredible paper artist, Anne Ten Donkelaar. Anne melds real organic materials with bits of paper to create stunning flora and fauna hybrids. I would love to own one of these Flower Constructions series so that I could stare at it up close everyday. Click here to see more of Anne’s work, and get ready for more paper art in Issue 6!

Stunning! I love that she uses both real organic materials with the paper.

Absolutely gorgeous work by both! So dissimilar but beautiful in their own way.

Oh, these would be nice in my garden!
With just one small plant you would have every possible flower in it! Lovely. Above all very convenient. ha.
