There are many reasons for wanting to visit Toronto, but I have to admit that lately my main reason is to visit this shop. Mjölk owners John and Juli take their job as shopkeepers and curators very seriously, and as a result their store is always filled with the most artful, unique home goods of the highest quality. They seek out artisans and craftsmen who design with both form and function in mind, and there’s not one item in this shop I would imagine parting with (were I lucky enough to own it). Inspired by their travels and the need for a decent travel bag, John and Juli have teamed up with Hoi Bo to create a collection of waxed canvas and leather bags. These are pictures from their opening event last Friday; the dark canvas bags look so beautiful nestled in the white and wood shop interior. If anyone is headed to Toronto, this shop is a must-see. Luckily, they also have an online shop for those of us who have yet to make our way north.

Oh wow, I am so glad you’ve posted this! I was just in Toronto earlier this month and although Mjolk was literally the only stop on my list that I didn’t get to make, I did happenstance stumble into Hoi Bo’s studio and fell instantly in love with every single thing. Sarrra Tang was incredibly inviting and her studio was not only inspiring, it was permeated with the sweet scent of beeswax. So lovely to see these photos, thank you!
Mjolk is amazing! They always have the most beautiful things. Love them!
