Jennifer Collier

Happy Monday, everyone! Meg and I had a busy weekend working on multiple photo shoots, and as usual we found ourselves in a flurry of materials—newspaper, tape, plants, props…it was pretty fun. We try to use recycled materials whenever we can, but I can only endeavor to make such amazing use of materials as UK-based artist Jennifer Collier does to create these sculptures. Every detail is rendered in paper, thread, or some inventively reused material. She’s successfully made everything from dresses and shoes to sewing machines and film cameras. If you are a maker of any kind, or just someone looking to see inspiring creativity, take a quick visit to her site to check out other pieces.

Those are amazing! I really love the sewing machine and the use of pattern tissue. Very cool. :-)
