Fool’s Gold

Happy Monday everyone! It was a glorious early fall weekend here in the Bay Area; I celebrated by wandering around the city on Saturday. I ended the night at the Brick & Mortar Music Hall in the Mission to see the LA-based band Fool’s Gold perform. Their highly danceable first self-titled album from 2009 (shown below) has been in heavy rotation in my home, especially in summer and fall. Since then, the band shrunk down to five members, released a second album a little over a month ago (Leave No Trace, shown above), and started another tour. I recommend anyone looking for new music to listen to should check out Fool’s Gold—and in case you’re on the fence, consider how cool their album covers are. Aren’t they beautiful?
