I really enjoy reading the Etsy blog—in addition to awesome tutorial and recipes, they post lots of interesting informational and visual tidbits. The other day I learned about the history of ranch dressing! I’ve long considered making an oversize version of a basic god’s eye piece to hang on my wall, but I may have to take it to the next level with these complex Ojos de Dios by South Carolina-based artist Jay Mohler. Jay teamed up with photographer Emily Munn to create a tutorial for Etsy on how to craft your own Ojo de Dios with multiple layers of weaving. They make it look fairly easy, but something tells me it might take a few tries. Still, the results seem well worth the effort. Click here for the full tutorial. If anyone makes one before me, please oh please include images in the comments so I can see them!
