{Attributes} Daniel & Valeria of Hindsvik

by kate on September 7, 2011

It’s time for another installment of Attributes! I swear, some of these images are so lovely, I wish we could make big prints and send them to their creators as a “family portrait” of sorts. This array comes from Daniel and Valeria of Hindsvik, an extremely chic, well-curated Etsy shop specializing in vintage furniture and home wares.

The couple’s knack for choosing pieces with a mix of rustic charm, modern craftsmanship, and delightful curiosity has earned them a healthy amount of press lately. In addition to their recent nuptial (congratulations to you both!), they have even more exciting news just around the corner. Thank you for sharing your Attributes portrait with us, Daniel and Valeria!

Some of our favorite things we’re loving right now include a mixture of vintage and natural science items that we’re using in our home decor.Even before we opened Hindsvik, we’ve been huge fans of all things vintage and antique, and it certainly shows in both our home and the things we collect. Right now we really love more rustic or primitive household antiques like silver spoons, mixing bowls, iron scissors and whisks. We love the fact that all of these items aren’t only functional, but they’re classic decor pieces as well, making your home look a little more interesting!

Natural science has always been a big interest for us, whether it was watching nature documentaries, going for a hike or collecting specimens and minerals for display. We find nature very interesting and beautiful and always want to keep a little part of it in our home and day to day lives. Our current collection includes various insect specimens, a coral collection and a wide variety of rocks and minerals.Daniel +Valeria
