The Makerie

by kate on August 30, 2011

I’ve been furiously cutting and folding paper the past two weeks in preparation for a winter project that Meg and I are shooting today. By the hundredth cut and fold, I decided I needed to seek out some inspirational paper-related artwork to keep me going. The Makerie is a U.K.-based paper design studio run by Julie Wilkinson and Joyanne Horscroft. Their painstaking attention to detail and high-quality craftsmanship puts my simple paper crafts to shame. My favorite piece is this “White Omar,” but you can see their full portfolio on Behance and choose a personal favorite.
