Our fourth issue, which is coming out soon, is packed with wonderful stories, images, recipes, and projects—we are so excited for you all to see it. One of my favorite pieces in the new issue is entitled “Fun and Games.” It shares a peek into the production of the beautiful handmade goods from Fredericks + Mae, a company founded by Brooklyn-based artists Jolie Mae Signorile and Gabriel Fredericks Cohen. With a shared love for natural materials and simple, lovingly crafted objects, Jolie and Gabriel have created a small collection of wares that are built for play and beautiful enough to be displayed as art. I’ve completely fallen for these milliner’s wings made from naturally molted feathers, and I wouldn’t be too disappointed to receive one of their hand painted arrows either.
