Summer Fare

by Kate on August 19, 2011

During a planning meeting last week, my fellow Anthology team members introduced me to the awesome Australian food blog What Katie Ate. Katie’s site is an exhaustive resource for gorgeous food photography, delicious recipes, and lots of other foodie-related tidbits. The beautiful summer weather keeps on coming, and I’m realizing that I’ve spent far too few weekends cooking my meals outdoors. I decided to turn to Katie for some inspired barbecue fare, and she did not disappoint. My plan is to try her summery feast consisting of marinated paprika lamb, sweet corn with chili and lime, pea & mint salad, smashed potatoes, and the kicker: praline peaches. Yum!!

I know what I’ll be making this weekend, and while I can guarantee it will be one of many meals I’ll be trying from What Katie Ate, I can’t guarantee mine will be as picture perfect. You can find the recipes and more beautiful images of this meal here. If any of you have a favorite summertime recipe you’d like to share with us in the comments, please do! We’re always up for trying new dishes. Have a great weekend everyone!

Honey peaches with pralines! Yes please, give me more! Gorgeous photography, styling and recipes, as usual from Kate, she’s one of my favorite food bloggers and photogs. Great choice in showcasing her talents.

What Katie Ate is one of my favorites and those praline peaches look heavenly! I just recently posted a late summer recipe for Grilled Chicken, Black Bean + Smoked Mozzarella Stuffed Flamingo Peppers that I’d love to share:

Thanks for the inspiring content, once again. Enjoy your weekend!

yum! this peach treat looks splendid. setting the alarm early tomorrow so that I can head over to the italian market for a bit of mascarpone. I can’t wait to make goat cheese, fig and arugula pizza (one of my late summer favorites-as soon as the figs are ready).
