Here’s a great question for a Monday morning: what would you make with 20,000 zip ties? I can think of some pretty cool things, but none as beautiful and amazing as this sculpture created by Design Office Takebayashi Scroggin. According to D.O.T.S., “Massimals are 1:1 design objects that serve as prototypes to examine how physical form can engage the public realm.” It certainly succeeded—the animal form radiates energy that is palpable even in the photographs. It’s a truly inspiring example of what a humble material can become with nimble hands and creative vision.
