Rosemary Ice Cream Sandwiches

by kate on July 12, 2011

Meg and I are working on an exciting cooking related project for the blog (more details on that later), and it has already entailed lots of ogling pictures of delicious looking food. This mouthwatering rosemary ice cream sandwich comes our way courtesy of Dabito of the blog Old Brand New. His photographs are killer, as are his culinary concoctions, judging from the look of this sweet treat.

All you have to do is add a couple sprigs of rosemary to a scoop of vanilla ice cream and spread it between two oatmeal cookies. Voila! A gourmet summer snack. Now if you’ll excuse me, the rosemary bush outsideĀ  is calling my name…

This sounds so good and so refreshing during this heat wave! I can’t wait to give it a try tonight. Thanks for sharing.

in love with this recipe, but I’m thinking about swapping the oatmeal with lavender cookies. lavender, rosemary, vanilla. yum! or make earl grey cookies with vanilla ice cream and fresh lavender blossoms… ok, I need to take an ice cream break!

I’m ecstatic to know someone else adores rosemary that much, too. What simple, clean photos and a brilliantly creative take on a classic. I’m looking forward to hearing more about the ‘exciting cooking related project’ you’re concocting!
