Artist and recent Attributes contributor Lisa Congdon has an amazing new group of paintings on view at Gallery Hijinks in San Francisco this month. The show, entitled Boreas, features paintings by Lisa and installations by Sarah Applebaum. The contrast of Lisa’s icy and bold color palette with Sarah’s muted, neutral soft sculptures is quite beautiful. The arctic imagery is actually a perfect reprieve from the heat of summer.
