I know it’s only Tuesday, but hey—if you want to start thinking ahead to fun activities for the weekend, I certainly won’t judge you; in fact, I’ll encourage the daydreaming with some exciting news! On Saturday, the West Elm store in Emeryville, California, is hosting a printmaking workshop and book-signing event with Christine Schmidt, the woman behind Yellow Owl Workshop and author of the recently released craft book Print Workshop: Hand-Printing Techniques + Truly Original Projects.
You may remember us raving about Christine’s book in January, but to reiterate: if you haven’t picked up a copy yet, you’re missing out. The projects are unique, easy to follow, and are accompanied by gorgeous templates and patterns hand-drawn by Christine. The images above and below are a sample of the kind of beautifully printed home decor projects you can work on at the West Elm event. The workshop is from 4pm to 5pm, with the book signing and reception to follow. Class size is limited, so be sure to arrive before 4pm to reserve a seat. Let the countdown to Saturday begin!
