A Work in Progress by Elsa Mora

by kate on April 26, 2011

We have a hard time resisting beautiful paper cutting works, and were so thrilled to learn that Elsa Mora—paper artist extraordinaire—is documenting her creation of a children’s book based on the fables of Jean de La Fontaine. When viewing her intricate, layered work, I always assumed that part of their beauty comes from the mystery surrounding their creation. However, I realize now that this is not so: even after Mora breaks down each piece into smaller components and exposes her steps, I stand as amazed as ever.
