Anna Garforth

by kate on April 22, 2011

In honor of Earth Day, I thought I’d end the week with these clever earthworks by UK artist Anna Garforth. Using materials taken directly from the environment, Anna plays with typography, language, and imagery to produce surprising and delightful installations. I’m particularly fond of her moss graffiti, and would love to come across such a beautiful site in my own neighborhood, and watch it grow and evolve over time. You can click here to view more of Anna’s portfolio of work, and hopefully her playful experimentation with natural materials will inspire many creative eco-friendly projects this weekend. Happy Earth Day!

Wow, these are gorgeous! I’m not familiar with Anna Garforth and will now have to check out her portfolio. Her work kind of reminds me of Andy Goldworthy’s pieces. Thanks for sharing and happy earth day!
