Hotel Azúcar

by kate on April 20, 2011

Anyone looking for a relaxing jaunt to a tropical locale should seriously consider the Hotel Azúcar, a slice of paradise nestled on the coast in Veracruz, Mexico, with a healthy dose of modern style. The palette of whites, pinks, warm neutrals and oceanic blue-greens is breathtaking, and I would love to stay anywhere with a biblioteca, especially one so serene as this (shown above and below).

At around $240 a night, the rates aren’t unreasonable for such beautiful lodging. You can make reservations through their site or by calling them directly. Still, if a tropical getaway is out of reach for the time being, there are some great design tips for summer decorating to be taken from the Azúcar. I particularly love the casual composition of hanging green glass jugs and the rugged irregular deck boards in the library.

Wow! Serene and clean without the need of accessories. Love the pop of pink with the rustic wood accents.
