Since Todd McLellan’s Disassembly series from last week’s The Dig proved to be quite popular, I thought I would waste no time in introducing another artist with a knack for transforming mundane materials into spectacular new creations: London-based artist Abigail Reynolds. To produce these pieces, Reynolds uses two found images and splices them together to create these compelling three dimensional collages. Textural, abstract, beautiful, and mysterious, these relief sculptures provide the perfect little jolt of inspiration to an otherwise ordinary Tuesday morning.
