Michel Berger Hotel

We love it when our friends offer us tales of their travels; it’s almost as wonderful as experiencing it firsthand. As it turns out, not one but three acquaintances of mine recently found themselves in Berlin, and coincidentally all three visited the Michel Berger Hotel, with rave reviews to share. One friend described it as the Ace Hotel of Berlin, and from what I saw on the hotel’s website—a work of art in its own right—this is an apt description.

Like the Ace, the Michel Berger Hotel gears towards a hip young crowd, with unconventional decor elements at every turn and room names like the Chalet, the Clever One, and—my personal favorite—the Golden One (which features a king-size canopy bed and a bathroom completely covered in shiny, gilded tiles). The hotel also provides several well designed spaces for their guests to hang out and socialize day or night. If you’re planning a trip to Berlin, we have it on good authority that the Michel Berger Hotel is an unmissable destination.
