Nils Nova

We’ve expressed our love of trompe l’oeil effects before, but these perspective-bending installations by artist Nils Nova are on an entirely different plane. I find the play between the “real and the unreal” quite thrilling even in image form, and I would venture pretty much anywhere for a chance to stand in one of these rooms. I love artists who use photography in multi-dimensional formats and on an exaggerated scale.

True to form, when I see a successful art installation like this I can’t seem to suppress the interior design voice within me that screams, “This would be an incredible wall divider!” Can’t you picture a spacious, airy loft using structures like this to create rooms to great effect? I hope it’s not in bad taste to suggest such a thing. Regardless, this work is stunning.
