City Shorelines by David Burdeny

by kate on October 19, 2010

If you’re thinking of traveling to an exotic new destination, you might want to use David Burdeny’s amazing photographs to help you determine where to go. Having traveled all over the globe, David’s interest in where the sea meets the land has led him to produce this series of amazing photographs depicting the shorelines of cities like Macon, France (above), Dubai (directly below), and many others.

The color palette of his images creates a powerfully surreal effect, where the city skyline seems to split an endless blank haze of sea and sky. Having never been to any of this cities, I would love to pick one and go immediately. But if the best I could do is to have one of these hauntingly beautiful prints on my wall, I could very much live with that as well.
